Hector

Segundo's Drywall and Painting

At the center of operational leadership, fine architectural finishes, and client relations at Segundo's Drywall & Painting is Owner Hector. Serving residential and commercial property owners throughout Howard County and surrounding Maryland communities, Hector brings well over 25 years of hands-on industry experience to every job site. A true master of the craft, Hector established the business in 2004 alongside his brother, George, building a family-owned enterprise rooted in pristine surface preparation, technical expertise, and long-lasting craftsmanship.

Hector’s primary area of expertise lies in master-level interior and exterior painting, decorative surface refinishing, precision drywall installation, and seamless repair work. Painting and drywalling are far more than applying color to a wall—they require a deep understanding of substrate physics, surface preparation, moisture barriers, and specialized coating applications. From flawless drywall taping and plaster restoration to high-end cabinet refinishing and durable epoxy floor coatings, Hector applies strict quality standards to ensure every surface achieves a smooth, enduring finish that enhances the beauty and value of the property.

Over 25 Years of Craftsmanship, Fine Paints of Europe Certification & Family Heritage

Since founding Segundo's Drywall & Painting in 2004, Hector and his brother George have established the company as Howard County’s premier choice for high-end painting and drywall services. Under Hector’s direction, the company maintains prestigious specialized accreditations, including certification in Fine Paints of Europe—an exclusive designation held by only top-tier painting professionals trained in applying ultra-premium Dutch paints and high-gloss marine-grade finishes. Additionally, Hector and his team are certified epoxy flooring installers, providing commercial and residential clients with high-durability, seamless floor systems engineered for heavy traffic and chemical resistance.

Hector believes that a successful renovation requires transparent communication, absolute reliability, and respect for the client’s home or business. As a fully licensed and bonded contractor, Segundo's Drywall & Painting delivers complete peace of mind through every project phase. Hector leads a bilingual team fluent in both English and Spanish, ensuring clear, comfortable communication with a diverse client base across the region. The company offers free, comprehensive estimates and personalized project planning to ensure every job is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the client's exact specifications.

Community Pastor, Family Man, and Devoted Grandparent

Beyond his daily work as a master painter and business owner, Hector’s life is anchored by faith, community leadership, and family. Hector serves as a local pastor, dedicating significant time to spiritual guidance, community outreach, and supporting individuals and families across Howard County. His role as a pastor reflects his core values: integrity, humility, service to others, and an unshakeable commitment to treating every neighbor with kindness and respect.

Above all, Hector is a devoted family man who treasures spending quality time with his family, particularly his two beloved grandchildren. Whether leading church services, spending a weekend with his grandchildren, or mentoring young tradesmen on a job site, Hector’s life is guided by a desire to leave a positive, lasting legacy. His identity as a pastor and grandfather directly shapes his approach to business—treating every client’s property as a sacred space and delivering work built on honesty, fairness, and true master-level quality.
